The 9th Edition of Sculpture in the City will be launched in the end of June. Wander the City’s public spaces and discover world-class public art across an iconic urban landscape. Each year, Sculpture in the City returns to the Square Mile with contemporary works from internationally renowned artists. Now in its 9th year the edition returns to London featuring works from internationally renowned artists such as Larence Weiner and others. The Event will be on show until 30 April 2020.

Latifa Echakhch, Group Show, Galeria Nara Roesler, San Paolo, Brazil

Galeria Nara Roesler presents the Group Exhibition “Reflections on Space and Time” in San Paolo, Brazil held in partnership with the french gallery Kamel Mennour, which features works by different artists such as Latifa Echakhch, Anish Kapoor, Camille Henrot and others.  The Exhibition marks the 29th edition of the Roesler Hotel prjects and features sculptures, installations, paintings, that invite the public to reflect on the concept of space and the fleetingness of time, inquire our immediate surroundings, but also to derive self-reflection. The works that appeal to reflections are the guiding thread of the exhibition, which also unfolds to other complex techniques. The group Show is open from the 2th of April until the 11th of May 2019.

Simon Fujiwara, ARos Art Museum, Denmark

The group exhibition Art & Porn hosted at ARos Art Museum, opens with the famous work  Sex-Paralysappeal (1936) by the artist Wilhelm Freddie (1909-1995). The work illuminates the awkward feelings instilled by sexual and erotic imagery in the past. The discussions that followed in the wake of Wilhelm Freddie’s work contributed significantly to Denmark, as the first country, lifting the ban on pornography in 1969. The exhibition features works by many Danish and international artists, including Annie Sprinkle, Bruce Conner, Ellen Cantor, Elmgreen & Dragset, and Jeff Koons. The exhibition is up untill 8 September 2019.

Finalist Named for 2019 Mario Merz Prize 3rd Edition

Fondazione Merz presented the Exhibition of the five finalists selected for the Art Section in the third edition of the Mario Merz Prize.  The protagonist of the collective are Mircea Cantor (Romania), David Maljkovic (Croatia), Bertille Bak (France), Maria Papadimitriou (Greece) and Unknown Friend (USA). The Exhibition is open from 3 June until October 6 2019 .

Shai-Lee Horodi, Group Show, The Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University, USA

Shai-Lee Horodi, Hyun Jung Jun, Jessica Frances Martin, and Hamilton Poe—2019 Master of Fine Arts degree candidates in the Department of Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern University—present their thesis projects, concluding two years of intensive artistic development. This year’s thesis exhibition is accompanied by events, programming and a publication conceived by the MFA candidates. The Show is up from 2 May until 23 June 2019 at the Block Museum of Art.

Dor Guez, Susquehanna Art Museum, Pennsylvania, USA

The current exhibition on display in the main gallery at the Susquehanna Art Museum, “Visions of Place-Complex Geographies in Contemporary Israeli Art” explores the poignant impact of place in Israeli life, as seen through the eyes of some of the country’s most prominent contemporary artists. The Group show is open from 9 February 2019 until 19 May 2019.
