Overview
Born 1987, Rishon LeZion, Israel. Lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Adi Fluman’s practice investigates the boundaries between representation and source, exploring the transition from the concrete to the abstract. At first glance, her works appear three-dimensional, yet they are in fact flat prints meticulously constructed through a labor-intensive process of digital “weaving.” Using 3D modeling software, Fluman connects tens of thousands of individual points by hand, crafting intricate compositions that blur the line between illusion and reality. These “digital trompe-l’oeil” works invite sustained attention and contemplation—an act that stands in sharp contrast to the rapid consumption of images in the digital age. Through this tension, Fluman examines the material power of objects and their paradoxical ability to convey what is immaterial.

Fluman has exhibited widely, including at the Bar David Museum for Art and Judaica (Kibbutz Baram), the Negev Museum of Art (Be’er Sheva), the Center for Contemporary Art (Tel Aviv), and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (Jerusalem). She is a two-time recipient of the Academic Excellence Award from the Photography Department at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.

Her works are held in major public collections, including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Israel Museum (Jerusalem), as well as numerous private collections.
