The New Yorker series started on the heels of the pandemic lockdown in NYC, spring 2020. An ongoing series of reversed collages in which Naama Tsabar cuts into the cover page of the New Yorker magazine to unearth images and words embedded inside. Digging and removing as a means of searching and reflecting. Poems for a changing world.

Naama Tsabar (b. 1982, Israel; lives and works in New York) creates sensually driven installations, performances, sculptures and photographs that examine the charged spaces and multi sensory zones and their associations with notions such as freedom, excess and escape. Tsabar's work enables a display of fantasy, sexuality and bravado, provides a shelter from the realities of the outside world, combining fragility and violence, destruction and rebirth while referencing history of art and of gender.

Her works are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; Solomon R.
