In Untitled (Double Face), conceived by Naama Tsabar, who is based in New York, two guitars are assembled to form a single object, identified as both a sculpture and an instrument. This doubling imposes a new way of perceiving movement and sound. Two performers are required to activate the instrument. When activated, tonight by Tsabar and her longtime collaborator Kristin Mueller, the sculpture creates an intimate relationship between the musicians, who face each other and are physically connected. During improvisation, every movement is felt, every sound is heard, and the performance takes shape through a state of heightened sensitivity.
