Karen Russo wins Lawrence Kasdan Award for Sinkholes

Her latest film named Best Narrative Film at the 63rd Ann Arbor Film Festival

Karen Russo’s latest film, Sinkholes, has been honored with the Lawrence Kasdan Award for Best Narrative Film at the 63rd Ann Arbor Film Festival. The festival also marked the film’s world premiere, with additional screenings set to follow soon. Blending fiction and documentary, Sinkholes envisions a dystopian future where humanity struggles to survive amid extreme water scarcity, as the sea slowly withdraws, leaving behind endless salt dunes.
