Florian Pumhösl received the Austrian Art Prize 2025 for Fine Arts

An important recognition for his longstanding contribution to contemporary art

We are pleased to share that Florian Pumhösl has been awarded the Austrian Art Prize 2025 for Fine Arts, presented annually by Austria’s Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport. The prize honors established figures in the cultural field whose work has achieved lasting international recognition and influence.

 

The award acknowledges Pumhösl’s sustained contribution to contemporary art over the past decades. His work has been presented at leading institutions including Mudam Luxembourg, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Kunsthaus Bregenz, and Kunsthalle St. Gallen, and featured in major international exhibitions such as documenta 12 and the biennials of Venice, São Paulo, and Lyon.
