Dvir Gallery is delighted to announce the solo exhibition of Aysha E Arar at La Ferme du Buisson in Noisiel, France, from 15 March to 12 July 2026.
In collaboration with Cc Strombeek in Belgium, La Ferme du Buisson presents Al Farisa, an exhibition that stages a female warrior on horseback (the Arabic title Al Farisa can be translated as “The Horsewoman”). This character, a projection of Aysha E Arar herself, symbolizes the transfiguration of her past and her search for emancipation. She echoes historical and mythical heroines who, disguised as men, took up arms to conquer their freedom. The exhibition deliberately blurs the boundaries between woman and horse: E Arar portrays herself alternately as both mount and rider, while intertwining feminine and masculine representations. Al Farisa embodies a figure who refuses to conform to what is expected of her, in a constant quest for freedom as a woman and as a Palestinian living under occupation.
