Aysha E Arar is featured in a new interview by Brendon Bell-Roberts for Artafrica, published on 8 July, 2026, on the occasion of her solo exhibition ‘Al Farisa' at La Ferme du Buisson Art Center in Noisiel, France (on view from 15 March until 12 July  2026)

 

 

"For Palestinian artist Aysha E Arar, art is inseparable from life. Moving fluidly between painting, poetry, music, performance and video, her practice transforms personal experience and cultural memory into deeply resonant visual narratives. In ‘Al Farisa’, her solo exhibition at La Ferme du Buisson Arts Centre in Noisiel, France, the recurring figure of the horsewoman emerges as a powerful symbol of freedom, transformation and self-determination. Created during the ongoing war on Gaza, the exhibition expands E Arar’s long engagement with Palestinian folklore, feminist histories and spiritual intuition, while confronting urgent questions of identity, justice and survival."
