Paris Gallery Weekend

Dvir gallery is delighted to announce its participation in the upcoming Paris Gallery Weekend, scheduled from May 24th to May 26th.
Dvir gallery Paris has the honor to present "There was love, there was death, and there was you" a solo exhibition by the Palestinian artist Aysha E Arar (born 1993, lives and works in Jaljulia). The works, created over the past few months, feature a unique combination of charcoal, ballpoint pen and pastel on large pieces of white cotton, traditionally used as “Kafan” (funeral shrouds) in Islam. E Arar's line is like a stream of consciousness: words, poems, phantasmagorical creatures, bodies and bombs collide on the canvases, depicting in a striking manner the violent reality of war. The chosen medium and techniques help establish a powerful visual language, which resonates with the dark context in which they were produced. Exhibition is held in parallel with another solo show by the artist at the gallery Sans Titre.

Join us for a a guided tour of the exhibition on May 25th from 1 PM !
